2011 Christmas Cards
Closing my books from 2011, I found a stack of Christmas cards. I love Christmas for so many reasons! One of my favorite things is getting the mail in the weeks before and receiving so many cards. I saved a few of my client’s cards and thought I’d share them. It is so fun for me seeing what pics they chose and what kind of layouts they used. With PICS, “You Get The Disc!” with every session, so I often don’t know what their favorite pics are until I receive all of the beautiful Christmas cards! I love each of them and what a great variety! I also threw my card on the bottom in the middle. 
Calvin Turns One!
Many of my clients are friends (or become friends), throughout the years of photographing them. Friendship adds an additional layer of pressure for me to get shots that I know they will like and will make them happy. This particular client/friend is someone I’ve photographed many times since the births of each of their children. They are a really sweet family and their blue eyes are to die for!
6 Month Old, TWINS!
Surprisingly, I’ve photographed a lot of twins over the past several years and I am always amazed by the parents! I don’t know how they do it! This session was with 6 month old twins and the mom was as relaxed as they come. They were great babies and I think we made it through the whole session without any tears from either of them, so that was great! Here are two of may favorite shots from the session.
4 Month Old, Asher
I always tell clients, “You never know what to expect with babies!” This morning, I was right. Little 4 month old, Asher, was having a rough morning. However, between the crying and feedings, we were able to catch several amazing smiles out of this little guy. I have three girls so I don’t know much about boy’s clothing, but I do LOVE, what I refer to as, the “little man” outfits like this one! Oh, and don’t you just love that hair!
Happy 2nd Birthday Addi!
Today I had a birthday session with two year old, Addi. I’ve photographed Addi a couple of times before and she does not like having her pictures taken, but I always look forward to the challenge with her! Today was my birthday and I was excited to try out my new backdrop. I posted two other pics from this session (where you can see the backdrop better), under the “Children’s Portfolio.” When shooting children, I really love cropping in close. The expression in her eyes in this B&W photo is, in my opinion, priceless.
Abby’s Head Shot
Profile photos are becoming a necessity for men and women who own their own businesses and manage their own websites. This is Abby, designer/owner of A Delightful Design. I had the privilege of shooting her adorable family last fall. This profile shot for her website was taken on a rare, 50 degree day, we had here in Michigan today. Welcome to the World Baby Ella!
Today my clients braved the wintery weather, traveled over an hour, for the opportunity to capture these beautiful photos of their newborn daughter. I’m so glad they did! One of my favorites from this session, with Ella in her daddy’s arms, went straight to the top of the “Baby Portfolio” tab with some of my other all time favorites! Here are a couple other shots that were especially sweet.
PICS Blogging?!
So, many people have asked me if I’ve considered blogging. Well, I have considered it and this year I’m going for it! Tomorrow will be my first post after my first session of the year. I hope you all enjoy following because for as much fun as my sessions are, the blog has to be fun too!
