Fall is a crazy time of year for PICS, this year even more so personally and professionally. I’m very behind on my website posts, but I’m staying updated on Facebook. Please see the following link to keep up to date with albums and events. Thanks! http://www.facebook.com/picsphotography
I’m not shy to admit that my favorite sessions are newborns and senior girls. I just love the moments captured that will be treasured forever. Newborns never look the same, even a couple weeks later, and seniors often won’t have photos done again until their wedding day. This girl was so photogenic and I loved this session. Even though the lake shore was gray and super foggy, the pics turned out amazing. You’re beautiful Elena!
Sometimes I just laugh (in my head) at the parents during the sessions. This mama thought her daughter was doing so terrible and I kept assuring her that she was fine and I was getting some good shots. I loved the email I received after the session saying this, “Susan, I got the cd with all the pics and the photos are great! You did an awesome job!” I’m glad they were happy and I’ll see them soon when their new bundle arrives!
Twins are like wildcards. They can both be amazing, or maybe one will, or maybe neither will cooperate. Well, I hit the jackpot with these two! They were amazing the whole time and we captured so many fantastic shots. I hope to see them soon, especially for a double smash the cake birthday session, that would be fun!
Extended family sessions can be a challenge to photograph, but even more so a challenged to coordinate with all of the families. These families were meeting at the lake shore from all over Michigan to have a fun family day. The forecast didn’t look great and the skies looked even worse on my drive out. Well, we hustled through the pics with just a mist of rain here and there and as I was driving home it started pouring. Thank you Lord for providing great weather for this family. I know they were praying for it!
This little one was unlike any that I’ve ever seen. She was the most intense “smash the cake” eater that I’ve ever met. She didn’t do a ton of smiling because she was too focused. She was actually eating the cake. Lots of kids smash it and play with the frosting between her fingers, but not this one, she ATE it and a LOT of it!
