Welcome to the World Baby Owen!
Babies are unpredictable. This little guy was just one week old and awake the entire session. I think we made the most of it though. I will post more on Facebook, but here are a couple of my favorites, the one on the left that looks like he’s smiling and the adoration of the mother on the right is heartwarming.

The Other Half of the Back to Back Downtown Sessions
I love it when I have repeat clients many times over several years. It is fun to see their families grow and their children’s personalities form. I remember when this family only had two children and their baby brother was just born. The older boy was so active and wouldn’t sit still for more than a second. Now he is a big brother again and seems to be so grown up already. They are such a sweet family and we have fun every session!

I’m taking a quick break from family activities to get some editing done from last week. This family was super cute. The older daughter was having a great time and making her own poses and everything. She was adorable. The younger one wasn’t interested for long, but we definitely snagged a couple framers before we lost her attention.
It’s Newborn Week! Two Boys and a Set of Boy/Girl Twins are on the Schedule this Week!
Newborns sessions are so rewarding. I love capturing the perfect shot that the family will cherish forever. This session could not have went more smoothly. The two older siblings were very cooperative and this (not even one week old) little guy did amazing as well. You may be wondering what is that shot with the goggles? Well, his father is a college diving coach, so we thought it’d be pretty adorable. What do you think?
A Little Trickery, But Worth It!
It is no surprise that many men do NOT like having their pictures taken. I know my minis are great for these families because the wives just say, “It’s only 15 minutes!” This poor dad was tricked on his birthday, but was a good sport about it. His wife told him she booked them a room for his birthday in Saugatuck. When he was excited about it, she also quickly mentioned that they’d be stopping by the beach to get family pics before dinner. The birthday dad was a good sport and what a great family photo! I also really love is this mother/daughter shot! I think it really shows the love that mothers have for the children, just the look of complete adoration and unconditional love. Love it and would love a shot like that with my three girls!

I Love Mini Sessions!
This lake shore mini was SO fun! I love minis because I get to see so many different families in a short amount of time. This little girl was really chilly, but she did such a great job!

This is one Beautiful Boy!
Sometimes handsome doesn’t do a boy justice like beautiful does. I can say that about this little guy because I have become friends with this family. But seriously, he just has amazing features and a wonderful smile! Another great session with this beautiful family!
