Happy Valentine’s Day!

I have seven shoots in the next three days, so make sure you are following this week! It is going to be a fun week! This is the card I made for my middle daughter last night, since I forgot to get her cards. Oops!

Love Yourself Naked?!

I had the opportunity to photograph this session with a fitness model. I have to admit, it made me rethink my exercise regimen (or lack there of). She has a very interesting blog called, “Love Yourself Naked.” Here is a little bit of her story, but I encourage you to visit her website and follow her on Facebook, http://loveyourselfnaked.blogspot.com/ and http://www.facebook.com/lynblog.

“Love Yourself Naked is a community designed for people who love wellness. How do you treat yourself to get the best body both physically and mentally? No more hiding behind excuses and bad habits! We have one life to live and one body to live it in. My goal is to help people to learn to love themselves uncovered and unhidden. EVERYBODY deserves to love themselves naked!”

Ever Heard of Smart Bottoms?

One of my clients created this line of cloth diapers and this is the second time I’ve taken product photos for her website. Here is a bit of info about the product from her website, www.smartbottoms.com.

“Smart Bottoms is more than just a business, it is a passion. Behind every cloth diapering mom (or dad), there’s a story. A story of why they chose to go against the majority, why they chose the healthier, more environmentally friendly, or cheaper option. We want to be a part of your story!”

Ayla, 4 Months!

One of the most interesting aspects of my job is that no two sessions are alike. I meet people from all over the world. This was my third session today and the 2 1/2 year old girl was able to speak not only English, but Boswick as well. At first I was worried she wouldn’t be able to understand me, but she spoke both languages really well; I was impressed. The baby, Ayla, was so adorable. I had to put a shot of her pouty face on here because she would go from pouting, to crying, to a huge grin in a matter of three shots. She was a sweet baby! To see pics of Ayla’s beautiful, giant smile make sure you check my Facebook page.

Adorable Olivia & Mia

What a treat we are getting this year in Michigan! Today was a sunny, 40 degree day. As I look outside, I smile and think we are already approaching spring; it is definitely wishful thinking, but I love it! It was still a bit chilly for Mia, but we were able to capture a few really great shots of her and her big sister, Olivia, who definitely hammed it up with some singing, dancing, and laughing. This was a great session!

Photoshop is my Best Friend!

Watch The Today Show Monday morning!

One of my clients, Liz Della Croce, will be on The Today Show tomorrow morning. Her husband and little son, Asher, will be there too. You can see Asher’s pics a few posts down, but make sure to tune in tomorrow morning for the cooking segment. Copy the link below for the article about Liz.

2011 Christmas Cards

Closing my books from 2011, I found a stack of Christmas cards. I love Christmas for so many reasons! One of my favorite things is getting the mail in the weeks before and receiving so many cards. I saved a few of my client’s cards and thought I’d share them. It is so fun for me seeing what pics they chose and what kind of layouts they used. With PICS, “You Get The Disc!” with every session, so I often don’t know what their favorite pics are until I receive all of the beautiful Christmas cards! I love each of them and what a great variety! I also threw my card on the bottom in the middle. :)

Calvin Turns One!

Many of my clients are friends (or become friends), throughout the years of photographing them. Friendship adds an additional layer of pressure for me to get shots that I know they will like and will make them happy. This particular client/friend is someone I’ve photographed many times since the births of each of their children. They are a really sweet family and their blue eyes are to die for!

6 Month Old, TWINS!

Surprisingly, I’ve photographed a lot of twins over the past several years and I am always amazed by the parents! I don’t know how they do it! This session was with 6 month old twins and the mom was as relaxed as they come. They were great babies and I think we made it through the whole session without any tears from either of them, so that was great! Here are two of may favorite shots from the session.
