I have to admit, I was a little freaked out before this session. I’ve heard so many stories of people falling through the ice that was “frozen” and I just didn’t want it to happen to me. Well, after psyching myself up for it, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find several gentlemen ice fishing near the spots we would be on. After seeing that, I felt like yes, I’ll be safe! This little three year old was having a great time running around, doing snow angels, and throwing snowballs at me.
Less than 2 weeks ago I had a maternity session with a couple who were past their due date with their first child. Now, I just had the pleasure of meeting their new baby girl, Lillian. She did excellent during her session and slept the majority of the time. The shot on the right was taken at the very end of the session, after she woke up. I love how alert her eyes are and I think that one is so sweet.
This client has been waiting for weeks for the perfect snowfall. In Michigan our weather is so hit or miss that you never know what to expect from one day to the next. We saw the forecast with A LOT of snow coming and decided to go for it. With all the fresh and fluffy snow, it was a perfect day for it! Besides a few tears from being freezing, it was a wonderful session with an adorable family.

This was a first for me. I shot a maternity session the day AFTER the due date. That being said, doesn’t she look amazing! We were hiking all around this park and climbing hills in the snow. I was a little worried I was going to send her into labor, but she was so hilarious and kept saying she was fine. What a fun session this was! I’m sure I’ll have a newborn post with them within a couple weeks.
